Playing with light and shadows are one of my favorite form of photography. But clicking my own shadow is pretty amazing. It was my 3rd try of clicking my own shadow & it went perfect.

Do you people try of clicking shadow pictures, just the shadow & not the subject at all. You have to keep in mind a few things while you are clicking a shadow 1. Time, 2. The subject, Which subject do you wanna capture a shadow of? 3. The position of your subject, it means where would you keep your subject, on a table or on a floor or somewhere else you want it to place at, the surface is very important while you are trying to capture a shadow picture. I chose a street surface for clicking my own shadow, cause shadow is dark, it is, whatever the subject is, it's always dark, that's why you have to choose a light colored surface, only then you would get to capture a crystal clear shadow of your subject. 4. The light. If you're trying to capture it in natural light, the position of the sun & how would that sunlight would create a sharp & distinct shadow of yourself or any other subject, you wanna capture a shadow of is very important or if you choose to capture at indoor, you have to set the artificial light as 'Led' & keep in mind the light's position, the subject's position & the specific surface you want your subject to be at as well.
Few more things are very important while you're shooting in artificial light !!
1) The distance between your light, subject & the angle of light reflecting on your subject, so that you could capture a distinct shadow & just the shadow itself. Then you have to position your camera on a strong tripod, so your camera can't move a bit. 2) The settings of your camera.
To capture shadow in natural light, you would have to set your camera settings as well. Look at the image above there to see the camera settings.
To capture a shadow at night as this one down here, follow this settings.
